Ms. Elisa Wong

Associate Director of Contemporary Art

Wong Tan-Mei, Elisa, is a contemporary Asian artist, writer, and art educator whose practice centres on the natural world. Employing a multimedia visual language that fuses poetic text, painting, classical totems, and spatial installation, she creates a dialogue between Eastern and Western visual traditions. Her work explores intersections of theology, aesthetics, and ecology, reflecting ongoing inquiries into life, transformation, and cultural memory.

Elisa is deeply engaged in fine art, community initiatives, and commercial collaborations, forging dynamic connections among art, the public, the environment, and cultural identity. In 2023, her biography of pioneering Chinese digital artist Lam Yuk Fai was published by Hong Kong Joint Publishing and added to the Asia Art Archive’s permanent collection, recognising its academic and historical significance. Her artworks are also featured in modern residential projects such as SHKP’s Novo Land, exemplifying a practice that unites cultural reflection, contemporary relevance, and artistic mastery.
